Our award winning Entrepreneurship program engages students in the conception, idealization, and execution of a business concept to compete in nationwide high school business plan competitions.
WHY ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
Our emphasis on Entrepreneurship stems from a desire to empower students to invest in themselves and their ideas. The class crosses several disciplines and provides students with opportunities to write, think, create, and convey along with a practical application of mathematics and design. Depending on the personnel of the teams, Entrepreneurship also offers opportunities to engage with scientific stem such as programming or engineering.
As a team-based competition, Entrepreneurship fosters an environment for students to naturally set goals for themselves while learning how to work together as a team. The class curriculum draws from materials synthesized from our competition partners as well as Coach Ray's own experiences as an entrepreneur with a growing enterprise.
Over the course of our class, we help students accomplish the following:
During the course, our students participate in several competitions, including Diamond Challenge and Project Echo.
In conjunction with the University of Delaware Horn School of Entrepreneurship, Diamond Challenge empowers students to focus on both business innovation and social impact. Learn more here.
In conjunction with the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management, Project Echo invites Southern California high school students to pitch business concepts in the areas of Technology, Consumer Products, and Entertainment & Hospitality. Learn more here.
