The building block of Breakthrough, our Writing Classes for Children & Teens Program is designed to encourage reading, writing, discussion, debate, and presentation skills.
why Writing classes?
Often times, students fail to succeed in traditional writing classes because they fail to see the bigger picture and comprehend the meaning behind antiquated literary works. Our writing tutors and coaches lead two-hour intensive installments to help bridge the gap between what students learn in the classroom, real-world events, and contemporary literary works. We also take it a step further by incorporating a curriculum that requires students to learn the basics of presentation and public speaking skills including how to project their voices, address audiences, and transform nervous energy into enthusiasm.
Our weekend writing classes offer students of all ages the fundamentals in:
- Reading Comprehension
- Grammar & Vocabulary
- Persuasive Essay Writing
- Narrative Essay Writing
- Comparative & Contrast Essay Writing
- Expository Essay Writing
- Descriptive Essay Writing
- Argumentative Essay Writing
- Presentation & Public Speaking
