We believe that communication skills are ultimately linked to one's ability to debate, discuss, and persuade. 

We believe that analysis - looking beyond the surface of a topic - is the key trait to higher level learning across all disciplines.  

We believe in encouraging students to create. Whether it be a concept or creative work, creativity empowers students to be ambitious and reach goal. 

Collaboration

We believe that learning how to work with others is imperative to success. We encourage students to work in groups to build projects and achieve goals.  

Discussion

We believe that discourse is the key to unlocking critical thinking. Every class at Breakthrough is oriented towards discussion, whether it's moderated by a Coach or through team collaboration. 

Competition

Instead of motivating our students through fear of failure, we encourage our students to succeed by embracing competition. Our classes are oriented towards competing both inside and outside of the classroom.  

LEADERSHIP

We believe in giving students opportunities to lead so that they may organically form their own management styles and perceptions of what constitutes good leadership.. 

CURIOSITY

We believe students by nature are curious, and that encouraging their curiosity brings forth their interests which in turn helps guide their futures. 

INITIATIVE

We believe that the best students are the active ones. We encourage our students to take initiative of their own ideas, beliefs, and  lives.
